Alice and Evan’s beautifully modern and contemporary wedding took place on 15th September 2023.
The couple, who live in London, tied the knot with a ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, followed by a bus drive to The Water House Project for their reception.
The day was a mish mash of various aesthetics that couple both like, from Bauhaus to wabi sabi. Alice wore a sublime, unstructured gown by Spanish label Cortana, which she discovered at East London’s ‘The Fall Bride‘ boutique.
I’m super delighted to share that Love My Dress recommended supplier, Carr & Senteno, whose beautiful, editorial and documentary wedding photography, you’ll find here on Love My Dress. Enjoy!

Photography
Our photographer was Rachel of Carr & Senteno. We were drawn to their natural, editorial style and shared love of 35mm.
Rachel was a calming and joyful presence on the day. We would absolutely recommend her to others.
Our confetti was a mix of paper and hand punched leaves collected from various London parks, made by Evan’s mum and sisters.

How They Met
We met at university in Sydney almost ten years ago, and were engaged in December 2021.
Evan wore a suit from Beggar’s Run. His tie and pocket square were made by E. Marinella. We stumbled across their store in Burlington Arcade one weekend.
Favourite Moments
It is impossible to pick a favourite moment – there were so many aspects of the day were special in their own way – whether it was reading that morning’s paper and discovering that Evan’s sister and brother-in-law had placed a congratulatory notice in the marriages section, descending the steps of Hackney Town Hall to Andrew’s confetti music and being showered with love (and tiny leaves), or laughing (and crying – happy tears) through our families’ speeches over a thoughtful meal prepared by The Water House Project team.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
It’s your day – do it your way. Whether it is the little details, or bigger decisions, make ones that are true to and mean something to you.
On the day itself, let it all go – put the planning behind you and just be in the moment with your family and friends.
