The Groom Wore a Purple Suit for this Chic + Whimsical Wine Country Wedding

Planning

The inspiration for Jasmine + David’s wine country wedding day came from an eclectic + exciting combo of sources: The couple’s Cantonese and Jewish backgrounds. Neon and light installation art. A24. Studio Ghibli. Nature. Geometry.

Working together with planners + event designers from Sampaguita Lane, Jasmine + David distilled their design vision into an undeniably cool modern, pastel purple celebration. The Barn at Harrow Cellars—situated in the rolling, vineyard-covered hills of Sonoma, California—served as a stunning backdrop.

A little whimsy. A little edge. This wedding had it all, and Aimi Photo was there snapping gorgeous pics of the whole thing!

“I love black, but wanted to wear something a bit more expressive and non-traditional than a standard tux,” says David. “Our planner Michelle suggested a lilac colored suit from Indochino and we loved the idea!”

We LOVE to see a bride rocking her glasses! Jasmine looked totally gorg in this oversized white wire frame pair.

“The first place we lived in together was in Hong Kong,” says the couple, “so we knew we wanted to pull in the iconic look of neon lights somehow. It was important we had some elements of whimsy while maintaining a chic aesthetic.”

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Jasmine: It's so hard to choose one! There's nothing more memorable than looking out and seeing all of the people in your life together in one place. I just remember sitting at our head table and seeing all of the people we love living in the moment with so much joy! It just felt so special to be able to bring people together like that!

Love the custom iridescent stickers in both Chinese and Hebrew!

Congrats, Jasmine + David! Your perfectly purple wine country wedding was a masterclass in cool! All the best from GWS!
