MOST CURIOUS ON FILM: 5 Creative Wedding Suppliers Exhibiting at the London 2020 Show (7-9 February)

Ideas

Just five more sleeps to go until you can visit the very best wedding show on the entire planet! Four, if you are attending the press evening like we will be.

Though we’ll be there there for the whole Saturday, hanging out with all the coolest, most creative and indeed loveliest suppliers in the wedding world. I’m talking about the Most Curious Wedding Fair of course (grab your tickets here folks!).

We’ve been supporting this superbly organised and expertly executed wedding fair for a number of years now but this time round, it has been the biggest of pleasures to get behind the Most Curious team, as it takes on 2020 with it’s biggest show yet, and it’s first foray into the North with a debut event in the mighty Manchester later this month.

As some of you may, or may not know, last year, we at Love My Dress collaborated with our ridiculously talented friends Zach & Grace to create ‘LMD Collective‘ – our own content creation agency, capable of producing the highest quality films, photography and marketing campaigns for brands both in and outside the wedding industry.

Portraits Bridal

We’re embarking on many projects this year, both large and small, and one delicious little project we’ve just completed is the Most Curious Designer Series – a collection of short films introducing five amazing designers/suppliers who are exhibiting at the upcoming London Most Curious 2020 show.

Ready to meet some of the most creative souls working in the British wedding industry today? Follow me….

Portraits Bridal + Follow

Artists Zara and Nadia, the two visionaries behind Portraits Bridal, take a modern, fashion led approach to their work. They are also quite possibly the nicest two ladies and would be an absolute blessing to have around during bridal prep on your wedding day.

Nadia (with the straight hair) is the beauty expert whilst Zara is the hair stylist with unlimited talents.  This film was actually recorded whilst the girls were producing their annual ‘Style Box’ – a collection of six key trend-driven bridal beauty looks, two of which you can see previewed here (watch out for the full ‘Style Box’ shoot on Love My Dress very soon).

The Groom Stylist + Follow

This is Sammy Aki, aka, The Groom Style Consultant. What Sammy doesn’t know about making a groom look amazing on his wedding day is not worth knowing.

We featured Sammy’s own wedding here on Love My Dress – the images of which provide an insight into the stylish life of a stylist and her muse/husband.

Sammy will be available to chat with at the MOST CURIOUS show about all things groom style related. She is fun, friendly, approachable, chatty and would absolutely love you to pop by and say hello in London this weekend.

Fi Graham Millinery + Follow

This is Fi Graham, an exceptionally talented milliner, who produces the most exquisite headpieces for the bride, mother of the bride and everyone who appreciates a head turning accessory.

You need to see her oversized bow pieces, they are the most splendid things and if like me, when venturing into the accessories department you prefer to go big (or go home) then Fi is an absolute must-see.

Fi would love you to pop by to talk about headpieces and accessories. As well as having ready-made designs, she offers a bespoke service. If you can visualise it, Fi can make it for you.

Alice Gabb + Follow

May we introduce to you, the very lovely Alice Gabb, a talented lettering artist, stationery designer and brilliant creative small business owner who also teachers workshops on calligraphy and airbrush lettering.

Seen those fancy fabric banners with cool slogans hanging in the background at the likes of @charlottejacklin’s wedding? Alice made those.

We love her fresh, modern take on the traditional concept of wedding signage (and what gorgeous after-the-wedding style treasures her pieces would make for around the home too!)

Design by Nature + Follow

Meet Emily of Design By Nature – a brilliantly creative florist based in London at.  Emily has the cutest dog you might ever meet called Daphne, which scores her instant points in our eyes, but her sublime floral artistry speaks for itself.

Having studied Fine Art Painting and Sculpture at Kingston University, Emily went on to spend ten years working for some of the UK’s most sought-after artists and designers, supporting them in their studio, client and exhibition management.  After starting her new career in floristry, it has become Emily’s ambition to align contemporary sculpture and design with floristry. Emily takes cues from the natural world and modern art, working with flowers as a tool for composition.

We adore her aesthetic.

The MOST CURIOUS Shows will be taking place over three amazing spaces in 2020, the Old Truman Brewery in London on 7-9th February, the exciting new Northern venue Archive at Depot, Mayfield, Manchester on 29th February and The Fire Pit Camp in Norwich on 29th March.
